In mindfulness, one is not only restful and happy but alert and awake. Meditation is not evasion; it is a serene encounter with reality. || Thich Nhat Hanh
This five week mindfulness training is open to anyone who wants support in developing a personal meditation practice. In this course, Natalie will share stories and teachings from the Buddhist tradition along with modern perspectives on the topics of neuroscience and nervous system health.
We will explore a variety of techniques centering around the practices of embodied mindfulness and compassion.
Each class will include -
20 minutes of simple movement and breath practice
20 minute discussion on the focus for that day's practice
20 minute guided meditation practice
10 minute relaxation practice
Natalie will also offer suggestions for practicing in between classes as well as a suggested reading list for further study (if desired). No previous meditation experience needed, this program is meant to support new and experienced practitioners alike.
